A young family's remodeled bright and minimalist apartment, originally built in the late sixties.

The homeowners wished to preserve the apartment’s original character and modest charm. Given the young ages of the children and the general wear and tear, we sourced furniture from Ikea, including the lovely bamboo kitchen. Olive-toned parquet was selected for the bedrooms and built-in wardrobes designed to blend into the wall. The primary suite provides a minimalistic, serene retreat for the parents. The bathrooms share a coherent design language: a playful pink touch in the kids’ bath, and the mature variation in the parents’ en-suite shower, of emerald tiles and golden faucets. Stepping out to the balcony, an urban view peeks over herb planters, where a natural fabric canopy, sand-toned plaster, and patterned floor tiles come together in soft Mediterranean vibes.
